Charlie Veron, from the Australian Institute of Marine Science, related to the New York Times in an interview, “There is no way out; no loopholes. The Great Barrier Reef will be over within 20 years or so.” It is said that between 2030 and 2060 carbon dioxide levels which reach a peak which will make all coral reefs extinct, causing the ecosystem to completely become ineffective to our ecology.
