Some of us loved it and some of us hated it: Science class. No matter how you felt about it, you probably got to participate in carrying out some fairly groovy experiments with amazing reactions, but you haven’t seen nothing yet. Here are some of the coolest scientific reactions you didn’t get to see during class. Check these out and be amazed!

1. You can bring your food back to life…

Soy sauce contains sodium chloride. When poured on cuttlefish it will induce muscle spasms and the food will begin to ‘dance’.

2. Gallium melting…

Gallium is a metal which will melt at 85° F. They use it when they make electronics.

3. Sulfur Hexafluoride

Not only can you float things on top of this gas, you can inhale it and it will dramatically deepen your voice, the opposite of helium.

4. Calcium Tentacles

By lighting it on fire you can get a reaction similar to the ‘snakes’ we burn at Halloween.
